Hotel Savoy Terms & Conditions

Important: Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a reservation or using our services. By making a booking or staying at Hotel Savoy, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Reservations & Bookings

All reservations are subject to availability and these terms:

  • Guests must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation
  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in
  • Reservations are confirmed only after receiving a confirmation email from us
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations if they result from a system error
  • Special requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed

Check-in & Check-out

Our standard timings are as follows:

  • Check-in: 2:00 PM onwards
  • Check-out: 12:00 PM (noon)
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges
  • Guests must settle all outstanding charges before check-out

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy varies by rate type:

Standard Rate Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in
Non-Refundable Rate No cancellation or refund permitted
Group Bookings (5+ rooms) Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in
Peak Season Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in

No-shows will be charged for the first night of the reservation.

Payment Terms

Payment terms and conditions:

  • All rates are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
  • A valid credit/debit card is required for all reservations
  • Prepaid reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking
  • For pay-at-hotel reservations, we may pre-authorize your card for incidentals
  • Additional charges for extra services will be billed to your room

Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect other guests and maintain reasonable noise levels, especially during night hours
  • Use hotel property and amenities with care and responsibility
  • Report any damages or issues with the room immediately
  • Not engage in any illegal activities on hotel premises
  • Not smoke in non-smoking rooms (cleaning fees will apply for violation)
  • Not bring pets without prior authorization (service animals excepted)

Hotel Liability

Hotel Savoy's liability is limited as follows:

  • We are not liable for loss or damage to guest property unless deposited with reception for safekeeping
  • We provide safe deposit boxes in rooms for guest convenience
  • We are not responsible for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (force majeure)
  • Medical emergencies should be reported immediately to hotel staff
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for children's safety and behavior

Restaurant & Bar Policies

Additional terms for our dining facilities:

  • Restaurant operating hours are subject to change
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted in restaurant areas
  • The bar serves alcohol only to guests aged 21 and above (valid ID required)
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated persons
  • Special dietary requirements should be communicated in advance

Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy:

  • Personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • We may use your contact information to send promotional materials (opt-out available)
  • CCTV surveillance operates in public areas for security purposes
  • Payment information is processed through secure encrypted systems

Force Majeure

Hotel Savoy shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulations, natural disasters, or other emergencies.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
